Raven-Symone recently hit the 20-year mark as an entertainer. Most performers who reach that milestone are at the mid-life crisis point. Not Raven-Symone. She's just 22.

The charismatic actress-vocalist-producer has been a hot entertainment commodity since she was an infant. At age 2, she had a contract with the Ford modeling agency. At age 4, she was cast as Olivia for "The Cosby Show." During the '90s, she was featured in the ABC sitcom "Hangin' With Mr. Cooper."

Raven-Symone also was the star of Disney's highest rated and longest running series, "That's So Raven," which premiered in 2003 and concluded in 2007. In addition, Symone starred in the popular Disney films "The Cheetah Girls" and "Cheetah Girls 2."

Then there's Raven-Symone's career as a recording artist.

"I've always been so busy," Symone said. "This is just normal for me. I'm always doing something."

At the moment, Raven-Symone is touring behind her fourth album, a self-titled effort full of energetic, upbeat dance-pop songs.

She is scheduled to return Sunday to the Northern Star Arena at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson. Originally, Raven-Symone was slated to kick off her "Pajama Party" tour during the spring. A number of shows were canceled, and the jaunt was scrapped.

"Things just didn't work out," Raven-Symone said. "But I'll be able to do the songs on this (summer) tour. It's all good."

A number of prominent producers, such as The Clutch (Toni Braxton, Chris Brown), Sean Garrett (Beyonce, Fergie) and Kwame (Christina Aguilera, The Pussycat Dolls) worked on Raven-Symone's project.

"I've been fortunate having the best in the business want to work with me," said Raven-Symone, whose last name is Pearman.

The latest high-profile entertainer who would like to start a project with Raven-Symone is comic legend Chris Rock.

"I want to produce a show for Raven-Symone," Rock said. "I want to see her in front of a studio audience. I'm a fan."

So far, Raven-Symone and Rock have had a few meetings. "I love him," Raven-Symone said. "He's doing a documentary on hair and I'm in the movie and we talked about doing other things. I definitely want to do something with him."

Part of Raven-Symone's appeal is that she has a great comedic sense, exceptional timing and a willingness to take risks.

"I think some of that comes from watching the masters when I was a kid, like Lucille Ball, Carol Burnett and Flip Wilson," Raven-Symone said.

It didn't hurt that Raven-Symone was schooled by comic icon Bill Cosby.

"I learned so much from him," Raven-Symone said. "I remember him telling me to be professional and enjoy myself. He also said to take my time."

Since then, Raven-Symone's career has been moving at breakneck speed.

"I just want to do all that I can," Raven-Symone said.
